Do save often since, being based on a Sierra game, there are plenty of ways to die. And often there was more than one way to solve them. The puzzles were mostly logical and, most of the time I didn't have too much problem with them. The music was very good at setting the moods and I thought the voice acting was good. The 3-D sequence during the introduction was good. I can't say that I was that impressed with the introduction, as it was a bit slow and rather sappy, but the rest of the game was great. The story is very well written with very interesting characters. It has been so long since I played the original Sierra version of this game that I barely remember it but I know that I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as this remake. The Volcano. What a fantastic remake of an early adventure game! This remake of King's Quest II is my favorite King's Quest game. Two other subtitles that the designers considered for the game were What's Lava Got to Do With It and Rosella Vs. Roberta Williams' King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride is the only game in the series not to feature King Graham in any capacity, although he's listed in the voice credits. ![]() Unlike Disney movies, the opening sequence is the only song in the entire story. In the Disney-inspired intro, Rosella sings a song and is depicted having only 3 fingers and a thumb on each hand. Due to the large amount of bugs and a the lousy save interface, they released version 2.0 of the game, which worked faster, was less buggy and had an enhanced save interface, in 1995. The game was very buggy and it was literally impossible to finish it without the patches that were released a few months later. In order to release Roberta Williams' King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride in time for Christmas '94, Sierra didn't spend much time on beta testing. Game Engine: Sierra's Creative Interpreter (SCI).As opposed to the realistic drawing style of all the preceding game, it has brightly colored visuals reminiscent of Walt Disney cartoons. The game is divided into chapters, alternating between the queen and the princess as protagonists. It discards the icon-based interface of the two previous installments, and instead features a simplified "smart cursor" used for general interaction with highlighted objects and characters, as well as significantly fewer text descriptions. Like its predecessors, King's Quest VII is an adventure game primarily based on solving inventory puzzles. They must find each other and eventually defeat an evil sorceress who plots to ruin the land. The two end up in different parts of a land known as Eldritch, with Rosella being transformed into a troll. However, the young princess seems to be more interested in adventure, recklessly following a mysterious magical creature into a whirlpool that eventually transfer herself and her mother to another world. Queen Valanice of Daventry has always thought that getting married would be the best course of action for her daughter Rosella.

All I can say is that if you're looking for a rpg-like campaign in vein of AoW1 then Planetfall is not a game for you. ![]() I didn't really care much for original AoW lore, either, so can't really offer much insight. Lack of flavor is a problem, but it's not coming from the lore. That said, when looking at a (very) general picture, it does mostly play like AoW3. Why they did it that way I don't know, just hope lessons are learned for AoW4, provided AoW4 is a thing. It doesn't have custom scenarios at all and with the development pretty much ended it's not changing. Originally posted by TajskaK:Planetfall is strictly RMG. In terms of story I think it is at least comparable if not better than original AoW, where the story was mostly focused on particular characters, not the world/universe/nations, as it is in Planetfall. This game has campaign (multiple, if you add DLCs), through which you lean about the story of the universe. It is short description of units, intro movie and those pathetic quests. While Gladius benefit from the richness of the universe outside of game, and is excelent game by itself, the fluff IN GAME is practically absent. But if you already played such games, planetfall is average at best. ![]() It is one of your first 4X it might be ok. On the other hand if you are a teenager who likes such games, it could be enough for you. Compare it to Warhammer: Gladius, despite Gladius is better as a wargame. It is just a lousy wargame with a bit 4X and no soul. It is shallow, boring and stupid in every aspect compared to the older AoW titles. As an adult who played the AoW games from the beginning, i hate planetfall with a passion because it is (possibly) the end of a great franchise. ![]() Originally posted by madra:Depends on your age, i think. ![]() This also improves single-target farming, although it will never be a specialist here. Japanese aeronautical engineers went to great lengths to ensure the new airplane was as light as possible, yet strong enough to survive carrier operations. Development of what became the Zero began in 1936 with an emphasis on maneuverability, long range and rate of climb. On the other side of the Pacific, the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) was in the market for a fast, modern fighter to replace its fixed gear, open cockpit Type 96 fighters (Allied code name Claude). The actual numbers tell a different story.
